Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using www.ccuab.org, submitting an accreditation application or renewal, or otherwise engaging with CCUAB's digital services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.

Nature of Accreditation

CCUAB is a private, faith-based accrediting body. CCUAB is not recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and institutions accredited by CCUAB are not eligible for Title IV federal student aid solely on the basis of CCUAB accreditation. Institutions and prospective students should independently verify how CCUAB accreditation is treated by any state, employer, or other accrediting or licensing body relevant to them.

Accuracy of Application Information

Institutions are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information submitted in an application or renewal form. Accreditation decisions are made in reliance on institution-submitted representations; CCUAB does not independently audit every claim. Knowingly submitting false or misleading information is grounds for denial or revocation of accreditation without refund.

Fees, Payment & Refunds

Application, renewal, reinstatement, and printed-certificate fees are described on our Accreditation Fees page and are payable through our online checkout at the time of submission. Fees are fully refunded only if an application is not approved, consistent with our published refund policy. Fees are otherwise non-refundable once the review process has begun.

No Guarantee of Accreditation

Submission of an application or payment of a fee does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted. CCUAB reserves sole discretion to grant, deny, condition, suspend, or revoke accreditation based on its published standards.

Use of the Directory & Certificate

Accredited institutions may represent their status as “Accredited by CCUAB” and display their digital certificate, provided the representation is accurate and current. CCUAB may remove a listing from the Directory of Accredited Institutions if accreditation lapses, is denied at renewal, or is revoked.

Limitation of Liability

The site and portal are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CCUAB is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site, the accreditation process, or reliance on an institution's accreditation status.

Governing Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This page should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
