General Accreditation Questions
CCUAB stands for the Christian Colleges & Universities Accreditation Board. We are a faith-based, independent accrediting organization serving Christian colleges, universities, seminaries, and Bible schools worldwide.
No. CCUAB is a private, faith-based accreditor and does not seek recognition from the U.S. Department of Education. Our focus is on supporting Christian institutions through mission-aligned standards of quality and integrity.
No. Because CCUAB is not a government-recognized accreditor, institutions accredited through us are not eligible for Title IV federal student aid.
We welcome applications from both newly founded and established Christian higher education institutions that offer certificates or degrees and are aligned with biblical values.
Types of Accreditation
- Provisional Accreditation – For institutions operating for less than 1 year
- Full Accreditation – For institutions operating for more than 1 year
A simplified online renewal form and payment of the annual fee. No reapplication is needed if renewed before expiration.
Application Process
Institutions should first review our [Accreditation Standards] page. Then, complete the online [Application Form], which includes a built-in payment process.
No. CCUAB’s process is designed to be simple and document-free. Institutions respond to written questions and confirm practices through checkboxes or dropdown menus.
Most applications are reviewed within 1 week. You will receive communication via email with the outcome or any follow-up requests.
No. Fees are non-refundable once the application is submitted and the review process begins.
Payment & Fees
• Provisional Accreditation: $395/year
• Full Accreditation: $595/year
• Renewal: $595/year
All fees are paid through our secure checkout system at the time of application or renewal. We use PayPal to process payments.
Yes. Institutions receive a digital certificate upon approval. Optional printed copies may be requested with an additional fee.
Accreditation Status & Directory
Yes. All accredited institutions are listed in the CCUAB Directory of Accredited Institutions.
Yes. Updates can be submitted through the renewal form or by contacting our team.
