Accreditation Steps
A Simple Path to Accreditation
At CCUAB, we believe the accreditation process should empower institutions—not overwhelm them. Whether you’re a newly formed Bible college or an established Christian university, we’ve created a clear and accessible application experience designed to help you share your mission and demonstrate your commitment to faith-based education.
Application Process Overview
We’ve simplified the process to eliminate unnecessary steps while still upholding academic and spiritual integrity. You will not need to upload documents—instead, you’ll answer questions and verify details through dropdown menus, checkboxes, and short written responses.
Step 1: Submit the Online Application Form
Tell us about your institution using our guided form. You’ll be asked to:
Provide general contact and registration information
Describe your faith-based mission and doctrinal alignment
Confirm basic institutional practices through simple checkbox selections
Step 2: Internal Review & Evaluation
Our review team carefully evaluates each application based on CCUAB’s published accreditation standards. During this phase:
Responses are reviewed for alignment with our five core accreditation categories
We may contact you for clarification if any details require additional context
Most reviews are completed within 1 week from submission
Step 3: Accreditation Decision
Once the review is complete, a formal accreditation decision is made. Institutions may receive:
Provisional Accreditation (1 Year) – for institutions in operation for less than one year
Full Accreditation (1 Year) – for institutions operating more than one year that meet all standards
Accredited institutions receive a formal letter, a digital certificate and are listed in the CCUAB Directory
All accreditations are valid for one year and must be renewed annually. The renewal process is simplified and requires completion of a separate brief renewal form, though the fee remains the same as initial accreditation.
Eligibility Criteria
Institutions must:
- Be faith-based and mission-aligned with Christian principles
- Offer higher education programs (certificate, associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate)
- Operate legally within their state or country of registration
